This piece was my first original design. Initially crafted as a storage cabinet for a Brooklyn apartment, it now acts as a beautiful catch all for items needed when leaving or entering the home. Built from an exquisite piece of figured Cherry and a reclaimed White Pine Beam. The dovetails are hand cut and the door panels are cutoffs from other parts of the cabinet. I made breadboard joints on the top board to keep it flat and to expose some complex joinery. The sliding doors hide two drawers and shelves for holding your most used items.
